        To preserve Isan heritage for the education of future generations and to be center of Isan cultural information and traditions among different parts of Thailand as well as other countries throughout the world.

Mission

         1. To acquire, collect and organize information of all aspects related to northeastern Thailand such as, materials relating to Isan ways of life, traditions, customs, culture, literature, arts, rural development, politics and governance in both printed and non-printed formats

        2. To manage the collection of Isan information in the way that can be easily accessed, shared, and linked to the needs of customers or users who are interested in Isan studies.

         3. To provide the user access to more information resources relating to Isan region quickly and efficiently .
