Objectives

• To acquire, and collect all aspects of information related to the northeastern Thailand such as, materials relating to Isan ways of life, traditions, customs, culture, literature, arts, rural, development, politics and governance in both printed and non-printed formats .
• To manage collection of Isan information in the way that can be easily accessed, shared, and linked to the needs of customers or users who are interested in Isan studies .
• To preserve Isan culture and local wisdom for the education of future generation as long as possible .
• To establish local information management network among local information professionals in Thailand and abroad .

Collections

          All materials are searchable through Web OPAC
          •  Books are arranged by called numbers based on the Dewey Decimal Classification.
          •  Articles, pamphlets and clippings are alphabetically arranged by accession numbers.
          •  All audio-visual materials are arranged by accession numbers.
          •  Digital information is entered into library holding databases and put up on the library web site.
